Dr. Katherine CovellThank you, Dr. Katherine Covell, for your openhearted generosity in supporting and advising me. You inspire me to pursue your vision of a world where the rights of all children are respected.
Dr. Maria MontessoriDr. Maria Montessori (1870-1952) believed that "children are human beings to whom respect is due, superior to us by reason of their innocence and of the greater possibilities of their future." She further proclaimed that "establishing peace is the work of education." I would like to acknowledge the extensive work of Dr. Maria Montessori did in her lifetime to advance peace through the creation of educational methods that respect the child. Thank you, Irma Rodriguez, for exposing me to the deep spiritual world of Dr. Maria Montessori. Your belief in me and your gentle guidance all along the way have made Children's Rights Education possible.
Maria Montessori Academy Students, Teachers, & StaffThank you, students, teachers, & staff, for modelling what a true rights respecting learning environment can be. My hope is restored when I see so many of the elements and principles in Children's Rights Education naturally implemented each and every day in your classrooms. A special thank you to Ms. Sue and Ms. Rachel for the touching support and encouragement you give me.

Lastly, thanks to my four beautiful children, Julia, Jordan, Nava and Eitan, for teaching me how to listen and showing me the true goodness of children. It is for you I am driven to continue this work with the hope that, one day, your world will be a more rights respecting place for all children. |
