This workshop introduces participants to Children's Rights Education and its function in fulfilling our legal obligations in realizing the rights of children that are outlined in the 1989 United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. Travel costs not included.
This 3 hour workshop includes:

1. An overview of children's rights and how the curriculum can be integrated into the existing curriculum at any grade level;
   
2. A introduction to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, with particular emphasis on Article 42;
3. An interactive demonstration of materials used to introduce the rights outlined in the Convention to children;
4. A brief overview of how to use the website to support the teaching of rights to children in any grade level.
