"Education is the armament of peace." (Maria Montessori, 1949)

Welcome

Our Vision

Empower our children with Children's Rights Education so that they can build a global culture of respect for human rights as outlined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. Then each child can fully develop into a critically literate, rights respecting citizen who collaborates with others to uphold human rights and question the root causes of social injustice in the pursuit of global peace.

Collaborate with us as we engage with international, national, regional, and local stakeholders. Commit to provide a rights-consistent education for every child that is informed by, and contextualized within the Convention on the Rights of the Child. This includes the provision of comprehensive information about the rights afforded to the individual as well as the values that underpin these rights and the mechanisms for their protection.

"If we are to teach real peace in this world, and if we are to carry on a real war against war, we shall have to begin with the children." (Mahatma Gandhi, political and spiritual leader in India)

Founded on 3 Principles

Universality

Picture
The rights contained in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child are universal to all children; every child is entitled to these rights and they shall not be taken away.

Indivisibility

Picture
The rights in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child are inherent to the dignity of every child and each right has equal status. Respect for all rights is required for their full enjoyment.

Interdependence

Picture
Each right in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child contributes to the realization of the child's dignity. The fulfilment of one right depends wholly, or in part, on the fulfilment of other rights.

Children's Rights Education for Peace

"Preventing conflicts is the work of politics; establishing peace is the work of education."
(Maria Montessori, 1949)
Malala Yousafzai Addresses the United Nations

Unite with Malala

We will continue our journey to our destination of peace and education.
No one can stop us!
We will speak up for our rights and we will bring change to our voice.
Our words can change the whole world because we are all together.
Let us shield ourselves with unity and togetherness.
Let us wage a global struggle against illiteracy, poverty, and terrorism.
Let us pick up our books and our pens; they are our most powerful weapons.
One child, one teacher, one book, and one pen can change the world.
Education is the only solution; education first.
(Yousafzai, 2013)
"Children are not the people of tomorrow, but people today. They are entitled to be taken seriously. They have a right to be treated by adults with tenderness and respect, as equals. they should be allowed to grow into whoever they were meant to be - the unknown person inside each of them is the hope for the future."  Janusz Korczak (1878-1942)
