To learn in the guise of creative play.
To develop through play with others or in private.

Indirect Aim

1. To recognize play as a spontaneous self activity that is creative and productive.
2. To enjoy the use of the imaginative intelligence in a wide range of activities.
3. To acknowledge when one needs time to play with others and when one needs time alone.

Convention Articles that Relate to this Right

Article 31
1. States Parties recognize the right of the child to rest and leisure, to engage in play and recreational activities appropriate to the age of the child and to participate freely in cultural life and the arts.
2. States Parties shall respect and promote the right of the child to participate fully in cultural and artistic life and shall encourage the provision of appropriate and equal opportunities for cultural, artistic, recreational and leisure activity.
